Pre-Primary Classes

Ages 3 - 5

In this half-hour class, we associate ballet steps with animals.

We work on children's balance, coordination, stretching, memory, listening to the teacher, and following directions. For some, it is the first time they leave their parents in the waiting room!

Beginner Classes

Ages 5 - 11

Beginner levels 1, 2, and 3 are one-hour classes for students ages 5 to 11.

From September to June, students learn Russian-style classical ballet and follow a French syllabus, gaining strength, good posture, and self-esteem. Along with the required ballet barre work, students learn adagio, allegro, and waltz.

Intermediate Classes

Intermediate Level Students

Intermediate classes cover a range of work, including pre-pointe, pointe, and ballet technique.

Students also learn combinations of steps from different ballets, with a greater focus on core strength.

Advanced Classes

Advanced Level Students

This 1½-hour advanced class is intended for dedicated pre-professional and professional dancers who are serious about their ballet training.

Dancers learn to perform steps to a variety of music and tempos, and study choreography from the historic repertoire.

Ballet in the Summer Time

A rewarding dance experience that is uniquely designed for students to enjoy in the summer. While some students must travel far for expensive summer programs, BCSB has created intensive day programs which educate and give exposure to dancers right here in Rhode Island.

Summer Ballet Camp

The Brae Crest School of Ballet is pleased to offer two week-long summer camp opportunities for children ages 5 to 12.

Summer Day Intensive

Explore the repertoire of The State Ballet of Rhode Island, learn from guest instructors, and study newly created works.

Summer Classes

The 5-week Summer ballet program is designed to continue your ballet education and prepare for the upcoming year.

A wonderful school of classical ballet, as well as a home away from home for so many. Many life lessons learned here while learning to dance.
