Year-Round Programs

Since its inception the school has established a reputation for the highest standards in classical ballet education. Excellence in training, artistic integrity, technique, correct physical development, and personal discipline are balanced with pure aesthetic vision, emphasizing the joy, beauty, and tradition of classical ballet.

We offer classical ballet classes for all ages, all levels and all abilities. Come see what we have to offer or try one class first at our historic ballet studio in Lincoln. Our new season begins on September 3rd.

Registration is ongoing throughout the year.

Pre-Primary

Ages 3 - 5

  • 1 class per week

  • Each class is 1/2 hour

In this 1/2 hour long class, we associate ballet steps with animals.

We work on children's balance, coordination, stretching, memory, listening to the teacher and following directions. For some, it is the first time they leave their parents in the waiting room.

Beginner

Ages 5 - 11

  • 1 class per week

  • Each class is 1 hour

Beginner level 1, 2, and 3 are intended for students ages 5 to 11. From September to June children learn Russian-style classical ballet and follow a French syllabus. This class helps the student to gain strength, good posture and good self-esteem. Along with the required ballet barre work, the student learns adagio, allegro, and waltz.

Intermediate

Intermediate Level Students

  • 1 - 4 classes per week

  • Each class is 1 hour

Intermediate classes cover a range of work, including pre-pointe, pointe, and ballet technique. Combinations of steps from different ballets are also taught in this class, with a greater focus on core strength.

Advanced

Advanced Level Students

This 1 1/2 hour long advanced level class is intended for pre-professional and professional level dancers that are very dedicated and more serious about their ballet training. Dancers learn to perform steps to a variety of music and tempos, and study choreography from the historic repertoire.

Character Dance

  • 1 class per week

  • Each class is 1 hour

Character dance is a unique subdivision of classical ballet, inspired by European national and folk dance tradition and styles. It is adapted for theatrical performances, adding a unique layer of storytelling and cultural richness to ballet.
