Housed in a historic ballet studio, the Brae Crest School offers year-round classical ballet training for ages 3 through adult. The facility includes:
Spacious studio with sprung hardwood floors and high ceilings
Wall-length mirrors, fixed barres, and portable barres for small groups
Large windows overlooking verdant surroundings, filling the space with natural light
Private appointment space for trial classes and evaluations
Restroom, changing, and convenience areas
Reception area plus on-site and street parking along Sherman Ave
Outdoor Special Performance Stage and Gardens
Every spring the outdoor stage at Brae Crest School of Ballet springs to life for new magical performances and experiences.
Outdoor gardens and facilities transform into enchanting training and performance venues, evoking the ever-present “secret garden and stage” and “take it outside” themes.
Camp Grounds
The camp grounds offer a charming outdoor retreat where students, families, and visitors can relax between rehearsals and performances.
Nestled among shady trees, the picnic area features wooden tables, open spaces, and an atmosphere perfect for enjoying a meal or conversation.
With the blend of graceful beauty and energy of the school, the camp grounds provide a welcoming space to unwind and enjoy time with friends and fellow students in inspiring surroundings.
SBRI Rehearsal Studio
Location: SBRI rehearsal studio, 52 Sherman Ave., Lincoln, RI
The school's Lincoln building serves as the rehearsal hub for The State Ballet of Rhode Island's productions and auditions.
Key uses include:
Formal rehearsals (Monday evenings and select Sundays for young dancers; Friday nights and Sundays for teen and adult casts)
Annual auditions for major works such as Coppélia
Dress and technical rehearsals (pre-production run-throughs)
Performance Venues
While most day-to-day training and rehearsals occur at the Lincoln studio, the School's and The State Ballet's productions utilize external venues for final rehearsals and performances:
The Park Theatre (Cranston, RI) for technical rehearsals and select performances
Veterans Memorial Auditorium (Providence, RI), a ~2000-seat hall for historic premieres and productions
Roberts Hall Auditorium at Rhode Island College (Providence, RI) for full-length season productions such as Coppélia and Giselle
The Dunes Club (Narragansett, RI) for special events such as the annual gala
WaterFire's "On the Corner of Art and Vine", WaterPlace Park (Providence, RI)

10 minutes north of Providence via Rt. 146 (North): take Sherman Ave exit, after ¼ mile the studio will be on your left, just past the small bridge.
