Be part of a cherished Rhode Island holiday tradition! The State Ballet of Rhode Island invites enthusiastic dancers and performers to audition for its upcoming production of Coppelia. Auditions are open to youth and adults ages 6–11 (dancers & actors) and ages 12+ (minimum 1 year of dance or theater arts experience required). Dancers ages 10 and older participating in the September 19 session are also eligible to audition for SBRI's Trainee & Apprentice programs alongside Coppelia.
Auditions take place at the SBRI Rehearsal Studio (Brae Crest), located at 52 Sherman Ave., Lincoln, RI 02865. Performers only need to choose and attend one session:
Saturday, Sept. 12: 1:00–2:00 PM (Ages 6–11) | 2:00–3:00 PM (Ages 12+)
Sunday, Sept. 13: 10:00–11:00 AM (Ages 6–11) | 10:45–11:45 AM (Ages 12+)
Saturday, Sept. 19: 1:00 PM (Ages 6–11, 12+, & Company Auditions)
There is a $25.00 audition registration fee. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled audition slot; bringing a headshot is encouraged, but not required. Selected cast members must be available for performance dates from December 10–12, 2026.
